Some changes are on the way for Adventureland in Disneyland! For some time now, Aladdin's Oasis has been a bit of a quiet respite for adventure goers seeking a somewhat calm location to enjoy their Bengal BBQ, but that will be changing soon. It was recently announced that the area will be transformed into the Tropical Hideaway, a destination that fits much better with the surrounding attractions of The Jungle Cruise and The Enchanted Tiki Room.
The Disney Parks Blog revealed some new details and the new location sounds pretty amazing, bringing in delicious eats from all over the world. For example, you'll be able to try warm steamed bao buns, which come in three different types – Spiced Vegetable Bao, Kaffir Lime Chicken Bao, and Bulgogi Beef Bao. For ramen lovers, there's the chilled ramen salad. Looking for something on the sweeter side? How about a Sweet Pineapple Lumpia, a spring roll filled with pineapple and sweet cream cheese? There will be various other tropical offerings available as well.
For seating, you'll be able to pull up a chair on the open-air dock, soak in the sights of the Jungle River waterfront, sit back, and enjoy the musical sounds of the tropics. After the sun goes down, flickering torch lights will only add to the experience.
More details are expected as we move closer to opening, which is slated for later this year. These menu items sound amazing and, as always, the theming is top notch. Would love to see Tonga Toast make an appearance, as I hear that is a delicious plate of food, but I can handle some bao buns! Wonder if there will be more stroller parking, not that the area is crowded or anything.
